Do glycolic chemical peels work ?

i have hyper pigmentation and im worried so im planning to go to a dermatologist ..or should i go to a plastic surgeon ?? i don't know i need help ..ooh n how much does it cost ?Do glycolic chemical peels work ?
i got my own peels from platinum skincare and use glycolic starting at 30 % and working my way up. the first time i used it i saw an immediate result with pigmentation, and it improves days after. its better to do it on your own because doctors peels are much stronger have more down time and could potentionally damage you worse. i just think slower is safer, and salons %26amp; derms are overpriced

do not use hydroquinone

The problem with these creams is that many of them contain a substance called hydroquinone, which a variety of studies have linked to:

* Increased risk of cancer

* Increased risk of adrenal gland problems

* Increased risk of all health conditions associated with mercury poisoning

* Increased risk of developing a rare metabolic disorder called ochronosis, which can cause physical changes to the skin and tissues surrounding the eyes, ears, and jointsDo glycolic chemical peels work ?
It depends on what you mean by hyper pigmentation. If you just mean sun damage, then there's over the counter products you can use. Use a mini-peel, like the Philosophy mini-peel pads, or the Avon Anew glycolic peel pads. Then, also use a product with hydroquinone in it and be sure to use sunscreen. I would try these things first before going all out with surgery or a clinical peel. I have some sun damage and these products have made enough difference that you can hardly see it when I wear light makeup and it's not even that bad with no makeup.
