What do you know about glycolic peels?

i recently had one and now my face has been swollen all day my dermitologist said it was fine... but does any one have any advise or info about it?

-- thanks :]What do you know about glycolic peels?
a glycolic peel is usually pretty mild, and should not lead to a swollen face.. but if you didn't apply sunscreen or a protective oil on immediately afterward (and continue to do so) then theres where the damage might've taken place. after any peel or scrub your skin becomes very vulnerable (its like a naked body going out in winter its exposed to all the elements (sun, wind, air pollution etc..) and you need to protect it. natural aloe vera gel can help heal skin immensly after any peel/burn/damage. as can swiping a wet tea bag (green tea works best) over your face a few times a day to reduce inflammation (swollen) and any redness and to speed up healing. What do you know about glycolic peels?
You must also use a sunscreen no less than spf30+ to make sure you get the best sun protection you can and a mineral based one is advised although anything that strength will do just fine, like you said as long as the skin in protected. Report Abuse
