What is glycolic peeling? and what is micro dermabrasion? Is there any diff b/w them?

Microderm deeply exfoliates your face with either crystal going onto your skin, or a wand with crystals on the end of it, It also involves a vaccum, that sucks all of the exfoliated dead skin off of your face, and also helps to reduce wrinkles. it reduces pore size, and removes discoloration. It is recommended that you not go into the sunlight, for i believe like 48 hours after you get a treatment, and you need to make sure you wear sun block everyday. A glycolic peel is a light chemical peel, meaning you don't have down time after it. heavier peels may require down time. It will basically do the same thing as microderm, it exfoliates and evens skin tone, also to an extent in can help clear up your acne. The deeper peels do more. The biggest difference is that peels are faster working. Microderm you need a series, You can get it done as close together as once a week, or as far apart as once a month, and it doesn't do much without a series except make your skin softer. peels you get more immediate results, getting them once a month is good for maintaining your skin. But once you get into deeper ones, you shouldn't get them too much or it can really thin your skin out. Microderm can be anywhere from $50 a session to $100 a session. Microdermabrasion is a deep massive exfoliation of the face. Its done with a machine that quickly blows a sand type of particle (they are actually crystals) against ur skin. It feels like a sand paper (altho its defintily not done the same way) against ur skin to remove the dead skin and impurities. Its very expensive, has to be done monthly, and you cant expose ur self to the sun EVER.





A chemical peel is way different. I dont know too much about it for i never offered it at my spa but its very different then micro. This will basically give u a new face. Its EXPENSIVE and should only be done if your much older. Just because its better for mature skin to remove wrinkles, age spots, etc. IT just isn't worth the money if yuo want to remove acne scars, etc.





So you have to ask yourself, why do you want these services? what is it that u want to fix? After u decide what it is u want to fix, then u can decide what treatment u need. We need more info to give u a better recommendation.
