What's the difference between a Glycolic Peel and Microdermabrasion?

The previous anserer has given a good answer, you might like to look at the info sites below...;What's the difference between a Glycolic Peel and Microdermabrasion?
microdermabrasion is considered a mechanical exfoliation and glycolic is considered a chemical method of exfoliation. Both are very effective in removing dead skin. Some docters call it a medical microdermabrasion when you apply glycolic first and then do a microderm over it. There are two type of microdermabrasion techniques, a diamond head or crystals. What's the difference between a Glycolic Peel and Microdermabrasion?
Peels and masks use a chemical method to treat the skin and make it look a different way. Microdermabrasion actually uses specialized crystals to slough off the dead skin and then uses another formula of vitamins and minerals to replace the skin nutrients. I prefer Microdermabrasion because you are getting rid of the bad stuff and not just covering it up or making your pores appear smaller.

I LOVE the Mary Kay microdermabrasion set. It's only $55 and uses the exact same crystals that the dermatologists use and charge you $100 a session for. And the $55 bottles last months. It's two steps. I do mine in the shower and I've gotten so many compliments on how my skin looks...
