What do dermatologists use when doing a glycolic peel? Is it available in drugstores ?

I really don't believe in using chemicals when you can avoid it... but here's an article about the glycolic peel that indicates it's pretty much done in the doctor's office...

but of course, you can get it online, at this spot for between $50 - $60...

I don't know if you can get it at the drugstore. However, I'd recommend a less harsh cleansing routine that includes an exfoliating masque before going to the expense of a chemical peel, either in a doctor's office or over-the-electronic-counter. I recommend the Arbonne Thermal Fusion Masque to my clients...

It's a great in-home masque that uses thermal fusion technology to offer similar results without the same side effects. This masque will leave a slight ';sunburn'; effect for up to four hours, so I usually advise clients to use it before going to bed. They don't get the ';peel'; effect that glycolic or other chemical peels result in from their use.

Dermatologists use this peel to help remove acne scarring and make your skin even.

It basically reddens the spots that are pigmented or discolored and makes it peel, so that the skin underneath is smooth and the same as the rest of your skin.

It's actually very effective, and good to have every 3 months or so from a dermatologist.

However, you can find over the counter treatments that are basically the same thing, just in smaller doses and can be used more often.

Try Neutrogena Acne Fading Peel.

Or if you don't have acne, try Neutrogena Visibly Smooth Facial Peel.

Both work to make your skin smooth and flawless (so you can wear less makeup!)

I highly recommend it.
I don't know what they use - but Arbonne has a Thermal Fusion masque in their Intelligence line that is amazing and offers the same results. You need to use it five days in a row and it regenerates new skin. It has a papaya enzyme in it and contains botanicals and herbs. Many of the ingredients in this masque are used to help burn victims get new skin.
